Enjoy Day of Golf, Food and Fun at Nationally Ranked Course
BASKING RIDGE, NJ (July 16, 2012) – On September 24th, the Visiting Nurse Association of Somerset Hills will host its 2012 Golf Classic at Neshanic Valley Golf Course, site of the 2012 U.S. Women’s Amateur Public Links Championship held this June. Proceeds benefit the VNA of Somerset Hills home health and hospice services, Adult Day Center and community wellness programs.
“The Annual VNA Golf Classic offers a fun opportunity to enjoy a great day of golf at a nationally ranked course, while giving much needed support for VNA services to uninsured and underinsured Morris and Somerset County community members,” said Chuck Miller, VNA Board of Trustees member. “With the changing health care landscape, fundraising is essential to provide the financial resources needed to support the continuing work of the VNA.”
In May, Golfweek listed Neshanic Valley as the only golf course in New Jersey to be recognized in the top 50 of nationally ranked gold courses, and as the number one municipal golf course in New Jersey. The facility has also been honored among the best golf courses in New Jersey by Sports Illustrated and CNN.com.
The event is not limited to golfers. Following the tournament, the outing will conclude with a cocktail and awards reception, buffet dinner and silent auction. For registration information and sponsorship opportunities, visit www.visitingnurse.org, or call 908-766-0180, ext. 140.
