VNA Receives Top Scores

The Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) of Somerset Hills is pleased to announce that the home health care agency’s patient satisfaction scores are the best among leading competitors and exceed state and national benchmarks in surveys reported by Medicare. As the nation celebrates National Nurses Week, this recognition spotlights the valuable contributions of nursing professionals to the health care industry and in the lives of their patients and families.

“Registered nurses are an integral part of our health care team,” stated Judy Adamcsik, Director of Professional Services at the VNA. “On the occasion of National Nurses Week, we want to acknowledge the hard work of all nurses, and show our appreciation for the passion and heart at the core of their professional commitment.” Celebrated annually from May 6-12, National Nurses Week is devoted to highlighting the diverse ways in which registered nurses, who comprise the largest health care profession, are working to improve health care and the expanding health care needs of American society.

“At the VNA, our dedicated nurses strive to continually exceed patient expectations by providing exceptional service and quality care. Receiving top scores on the Medicare patient satisfaction survey is a testament to the expert, compassionate care delivered by VNA nurses and our entire care team every day,” said Ann Painter, President & CEO, VNA of Somerset Hills. The Home Health Care Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HHCAHPS) Survey is provided to all home health care patients covered by Medicare. Patients are asked how well the home care agency communicated and discussed medicines, pain and home safety; if care was provided in a professional way; how they would rate agency; and how strongly they would recommend the agency to others. Results provide an objective and meaningful way to compare providers and can help patients and family members make informed decisions when choosing a home health agency.
